Owen Cleveland is a Product Design student at the University of Oregon with a strong focus on functional, hands-on design. His experience spans welding, metal fabrication, woodworking, CAD/3D-printing, and laser cutting, giving him a well-rounded understanding of materials and how things are built in the real world. He has also developed an entrepreneurial mindset through running his own business building skateboard ramps and landscaping, where he applied practical problem-solving and design skills to create high-quality products and satisfy customers.
Owen's work is driven by a passion for the outdoors — mountain biking, skiing, and surfing — which influences his interest in designing products that prioritize performance, durability, and usability. He is particularly interested in applying his diverse skillset to develop creative solutions for outdoor gear, furniture, and tool design. His approach blends creativity with technical skill, always grounded in building and testing ideas by hand.
